The Works of Niels Henrik Abel

The links at left lead to pdf documents created from scans of the works of Abel or works about Abel. Some of the documents are large files, please be patient. Documents that consist of a single pdf are linked by its title. The content of more complex documents is shown in a list which will be expanded by a click on the "Show/hide content" button.
If the chapter is listed with a Roman numeral and a page number, it's possible to look up the complete title in "Table des matières (content)".
When you click on a link in the left hand menu, the pdf usually will be opened in the same frame where this introduction text is situated, but some computers may open them in a separate application.
If you want to look at several documents at the same time, most browsers have the possibility of creating new windows by right clicking on a frame (Windows) or ctrl-click (Mac OS) and choose (ie) "Open frame in new window".
The documents may be downloaded by right clicking in the same manner and choose "Save document". The free programme Adobe Acrobat or similar is needed to read the pdf's.
