Nomination for the Abel Prize 2010

The right to nominate is open to anyone. Nominations are confidential and a nomination should not be made known to the nominee. Self-nominations are not acceptable. The prize can be awarded to a single person or shared for closely related fundamental contributions. Deceased persons cannot be nominated. If an Abel Laureate passes away before receiving the prize, then the prize will be awarded post mortem.

The nomination form consists of several steps. Please secure that all steps are completed. Obligatory information is marked with an asterisk (*). The steps are:

1. Nominator where information about the nominator (i.e. you) is submitted. The submission is valid for one nomination of one (individual award) or more candidates (shared award). If you wish to make several nominations, you must submit one nomination form per nomination.

2. Contributions. At this step, you select whether you are making a nomination for an individual or shared award. This is also where you describe the candidate's principal contributions and describe the candidate's work. The descriptions might be uploaded as files (pdf or rtf - rich text format).

3. Referee. The nominations must be sustained by at least one referee. You can add as many referees as you like.

4. Edit referees or continue. Add more referees or continue to the next step.

5. Candidate. At this step, you add information about the individual candidate (i.e. the person you wish nominate), or the first of several candidates in the event of shared award. Basic information is submitted in the form fields. Additional information is uploaded as pdf- or rtf-documents.

6. Edit candidate(s) or submit form. If you have chosen "Shared award" in step 2, you'll have to submit a second candidate.

7. Thank you! Verification of your nomination.
