Announcement of the winner

Kunngjøringen

Lars Walløe, president of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters announced that Sir Michael Atiyah and Isadore Singer were the winners of the Abel Prize 2004. The chairman of the Abel Committee, Erling Størmer (photo) then presented the committee's citation.
